The castings are over and the shortlisting to sixty girls has been quite a journey. The initial contestants shortlisted from Enugu, Benin, Abuja, Port-Harcourt and Lagos were shortlisted to a hundred girls based on each girl's scores in the Question and Answer session at the casting exercise. According to missnigeria website, the second shortlisting process was based on phone interview scores and performance.
Selection criteria: Eloquence, Diction, Speech, Manners.
Girls considered very beautiful with the right physical elements did not do well on phone interview. From the phone interview exercise sixty girls were shortlisted. 60 girls were preselected from 5 states around the country based on their character, poise, personality and composure by judges. It is now time to vote for your favourite contestant based on beauty. The 36 with the highest number of votes/likes will move to the next stage. Below are the 60 preselected:
